NetworkNature is the EU-funded Coordination and Support Action dedicated to clustering and connecting Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe, and EU Mission projects on nature-based solutions. Bringing together more than 100 EU-funded NbS research and innovation projects, it serves as the central coordination platform supporting the implementation of the EU Research and Innovation Roadmap for NbS.

As highlighted by the European Research Executive Agency (European Commission) in this infographic, the EU-funded NbS project portfolio brings together 1,774 partners from around 85 countries. These projects cover a wide range of thematic areas, including climate resilience, water security, inclusive urban regeneration, nature protection and restoration, health and wellbeing, air quality, and natural and climate hazards, as well as key economic dimensions such as the nature-positive economy, finance, and insurance, and sectors including agriculture, freshwater, marine and coastal environments, forests, mountains, and multi-ecosystem landscapes. The thematic clustering presented on this page reflects this diversity, supporting users in navigating the landscape and identifying synergies between projects across scales and sectors.

NetworkNature project groups and all of the content uploaded to them will be preserved in NetworkNature and Oppla long after projects have ended. The groups are open to any projects, networks or other programmes led by members of the nature-based solutions community.
