'The Nature of Cities is excited to announce the launch of its new NbS Comics series for 2024: NbS Comics Nature to Save the World. This new edition features a collection of fantastic stories from comic creators from around the globe to combine science and storytelling, to re-imagining how people and nature might thrive together.
Featured Comic: The Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Climate Change
The launch of this new edition begins with the comic The Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Climate Change from the comic creators Héloïse Gautier and Marie Gros. In this story, the beloved Three Little Pigs confront a new adversary, the Big Bad Climate Change, who may be less hairy than the Wolf but is equally daunting. Their most powerful ally in this fight might be nature itself.
The Mission of NbS Comics
NbS Comics is an interdisciplinary initiative that works with artists, scientists, and experts in nature-based solutions to commission and support comic creators. The goal is to tell engaging stories about how nature and people can work together. One of the hopes of TNOC for this ongoing serie of NbS Comics is to tell good stories about nature that are intelligent, entertaining, and change-making. Stories from new voices. Stories that reach new people. The aim is to create dialogue and raise awareness about nature and the essential roles it plays in our daily lives.
