Description:
This study aims to analyse how structural conditions shape barriers and also possible opportunities for NbS, and constructs a conceptual framework to guide empirical research on structural conditions. The findings of this paper indicate that NbS require a different understanding of socio-technical regimes than other types of innovation. It also suggests taking physical geographies into account in addition to the traditional components of socio-technical regime frameworks.
