Link to knowledge resource
Co-developed by the International Labour Organization (ILO), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), this report is the first in a joint global biennial report series that aims to fill knowledge and advocacy gaps on how transitions to a green economy will affect the world of work, and of the role that NbS can and do play in creating employment, especially for the poorest and most vulnerable people.
In addition to the main report, there are four appendices. Appendix 1 presents key findings from the stakeholder survey on decent work in NbS. The survey addresses the key policy questions and concerns of relevant stakeholders, as well as the types of information and statistical data that could be used for decent work creation in NbS. Appendix 2 describes the methodology, used in Chapter 6, for estimating current and future employment in NbS. This methodology makes use of Cambridge Econometrics’ global E3ME model. Appendix 3 details the classification of countries included in the modelling results in Chapter 6. Appendix 4 is a collection of detailed case studies of job creation in NbS.
