By analysing 22 case studies from Europe and China within the CLEARING HOUSE project, this paper provides recommendations for relevant governance, institutional and economic frameworks for the uptake and mainstreaming of Urban Forests as Nature-based solutions (UF-NbS). The findings of this report demonstrate that such frameworks are considered to be decisive for the design, implementation and impacts of UF-NbS. This report discusses that the design, implementation and management of UF-NbS depend on the social, cultural and economic context, but that there is added value in the promotion of good practices and successful stories, as well as innovation.
