Description:
Four-year programme funded by Sida is a laying foundation for the engagement of local communities in the management of protected areas. It will introduce examples of how protected areas can generate social and economic benefits in cooperation with the local community. These examples will be taken from the field work of WWF Adria and their partners in Bosnia and Herzegovina (NP Una and NP Sutjeska), Kosovo (PA Germia), Montenegro (NP Biogradska Gora) and Serbia (NP Fruška Gora, SNR Gornje Podunavlje, NP Djerdap, NP Tara and PL Avala). Each field project will bring new experience; from new tourism product and new business potentials to education and bear monitoring and watching.
