Description:

This research examines how Australian water professionals from research and practice understand, conceptualise and use the NbS concept in addressing urban water challenges. 27 water professionals in research and practice with diverse disciplinary backgrounds across four Australian states are asked to provide their definition of NbS. The results suggest that despite the term not being widely integrated in policy and practice, it is generally understood to mean the inclusion of a natural element or process in designs intended to respond to a challenge.
