This report reviews a wide range of evidence on several ways Nature-based Solutions can be used to tackle the sustainability and resilience challenges cities face, and highlights planting urban trees, increasing community green spaces, utilising brownfield sites and building sustainable drainage systems as effective Nature-based Solutions in cities to improve wellbeing, bring economic benefit, increase biodiversity and fight climate change in the UK. This report includes five themes: NbS for climate and nature; NbS for health and prosperity; Getting the right frameworks and policies in place to deliver NbS at scale; Getting the right NbS in the right places; Getting the right evidence for NbS. Habitats studied in this report are: Woodlands, Heathlands, Peatlands, Grasslands, Arable Systems, Freshwater Systems and Coastal and Marine Systems
