Description:
This chapter is one of a series of country case studies that explore existing challenges on scaling up the use of NbS to address water-related climate risks. Using the experience in UK, this chapter aims to identify potential ways of creating an enabling environment for NbS, specifically with regard to policy, governance and regulatory frameworks, as well as technical capacity and funding. This case study provides an overview of the actors and institutions, policies, regulations, technical capacity, and financing which make up the enabling environment for water-related climate risk management in the UK.
