Description:

The aim of this study is to show the co/benefits of floodplain restoration and handle them in terms of monetized ecosystem services. This paper is focused on six ecosystem services groups for three study areas in the Danube, and has considered the ecosystem services mapping through stakeholder engagement. The result of the study shows that without considering the benefits of NbS, floodplain restoration measures would have much lower chances of being accepted by decision-makers and stakeholders.
