This study presents findings from a systematic review of literature and a survey on private sector agents in the planning and implementation of NbS, with the aim to identify the typology of Nature-based enterprises. The result of the study shows that the recognition of nature-based enterprises as important actors in the implementation of nature-based solutions is an essential first step in market creation for the products and services they offer. It suggests that suggests that this sector should be considered in future policy as a stand-alone sector with significant potential to contribute to the EU goal of achieving a climate-neutral economy by 2050.
