Description:
The renaturing of cities through an increased emphasis on the use of Nature-based solutions (NBS) offers urban areas the opportunity to deliver multiple environmental and socio-economic benefits. In particular, approaches linked to NBS can limit the impact of climate change on vulnerable cities. In order to use NBS successfully to reduce and mitigate 1 IPPC AR5 Climate Change 2014: Impacts, Adaptation, and Vulnerability climate change, the existing environmental risk needs to be evaluated.
