The 4th Scientix Conference will take place online Friday 18 and Saturday 19 November 2022. The conference, organised by European Schoolnet, is one of the major science education networking events in Europe. With 2,000 places available, the goal of the conference is to provide an overview of the challenges and opportunities in science education in Europe and highlight the potential and possibilities that the Scientix community can bring about. The Scientix conference is also a unique opportunity to learn more about different STEM education projects in Europe, deepening connections, generating new ideas and inspiring science educators to foster creativity and enthusiasm for STEM education and share their expertise, knowledge, and best practices.

Teachers, educators, policymakers, science education researchers, STEM professionals, industry representatives, and project managers are expected to participate in the conference. The conference programme will, include invited high-level plenary sessions and round tables, as well as presentation sessions in parallel with hands-on workshops. Posters will also be made available in an interactive online format. The new format of the conference is designed to create an interactive participant experience and offer different types of networking opportunities.

How to participate:

Participation in the conference is free of charge and by registration only.

  • Call for contributions is now open (click button below) for those who are interested in contributing with presentations, posters, and hands-on workshops on STEM education projects and initiatives during the various sessions of the conference. Deadline to submit your proposal is 17 August 2022. Authors will be notified of successful proposals no later than 9 September 2022.
  • By invitation: a number of places are reserved for Ministries of Education, officials of the European Commission, Scientix national Contact Points, industry representatives and Scientix Ambassadors.
  • General places: As a large number of participants is expected to attend the 4th Scientix Conference, registration is limited to 2000 participants. Registration to the conference will be open early September 2022 on the Scientix portal. The selection of participants will be done as to ensure a fair country distribution, subject, profile, etc. Scientix and European Schoolnet‘s decision will be final.
