Regional partnership for biodiversity in South-East Europe

The Biodiversity Task Force of South East Europe (BDTF SEE) was established in 2017 under the auspices of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) to strengthen regional cooperation on nature conservation. It works as an intergovernmental technical body mandated to provide technical advice to the RCC and the Western Balkans economies on Multilateral Environmental Agreements and compliance with the EU acquis as part of the accession process. The IUCN Regional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (ECARO) hosts the Secretariat of BDTF SEE and provides technical and administrative support to the initiative.
