Join us in October to talk to members of grassroots Edible City Initiatives from around the world. At this session you'll have the chance to ask questions and chat to the following urban gardening and urban farming experts:

Nienke Bouwhuis from Groen010 and Krachtgroen (Rotterdam, the Netherlands) who is there to talk to you about:

  • Starting up an green food initiative or collaboration
  • Harnessing the strength of collaborating in networks
  • The various benefits of green & edible community spaces in urban areas
  • Using the values of green food initiatives to become more sustainable

Paula Firmbach from Prinzessinnengarten Kollektiv (Berlin, Germany) who is there to talk about:

  • Setting up and managing a community garden in a cemetery in Berlin
  • Integrating edible green infrastructure in new housing developments
  • Developing and commercializing city-grown produce
  • Learning & growing together

And Ruth Smart from the Brighton & Hove Food Project (Brighton, UK) who is there to talk about:

  • Community food-waste solutions - community composting / surplus food redistribution / building knowledge around reducing food waste
