The NetworkNature Task Force 4 (Communicators) is pleased to provide you with a summary of upcoming events and opportunities announced by Horizon 2020/Europe projects and select Missions. This Task Force is responsible for synergising and enhancing communication approaches and messages across Nature-based Solutions (NbS) projects.   • This 5 min NbS Community survey aims to gather feedback from current and potential users of NetworkNature to better understand the needs and priorities of the NbS Community and help shape future services. 
  • Do not miss the new NATURANCE Compendium, structured around two main sections:
    • A curated collection of project outputs and external publications, featured in the Digital Library.
    • Case studies: A dedicated page gathering over 45 case studies illustrating the application of insurance to address nature-related risks.

  • EU Green Week Partner Event: Awakening Sleeping Beauties: How Art Strengthens the Impact of Investments in Nature-Based Solutions 
    Date: 3 June 2026; Location: online
    How can art contribute to making investing in nature not only effective, but also beautiful, meaningful and sustainable? Organised in the framework of the Sleeping Beauty EU project, this webinar explores the role of artistic and cultural practices in public engagement and in supporting the long-term integration of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) in cities and communities.   • EU Green Week 2026: Investing in a nature-positive economy
    Date: 3-4 June 2026; Location: Brussels, Belgium
    This June, the 26th edition of EU Green Week puts the spotlight on the business case for nature, demonstrating that a nature-positive economy is essential for Europe’s prosperity, resilience, and competitiveness. Register here!

  • Climate Chance Summit 2026 
    Date: 3-4 June 2026; Location: Brussels, Belgium
    The summit will be focused on “Climate change adaptation, a lever for resilience and prosperity in Europe: preparing and leading the way”. This Summit will bring together key stakeholders in climate action: local authorities, European and national institutions, businesses, NGOs, researchers, and civil society networks. Register here!
  • Water Resilience as a Competitive Edge: Bridging R&I Gaps for Nature-Based Solutions
    Date: 5 June 2026 9:00-13:00 CET; Location: Brussels, Belgium and online
    Nature-based solutions (NbS) are key to Europe’s future competitiveness.   • Nature-Based & Systemic Climate Solutions: A Joint Horizon Europe Showcase (EUGreenWeek Partner event)

  • Cohesion for a Sustainable Transition Conference
    Date: 18 June, 2026; Location: Brussels, Belgium & Online
    The event brings together public authorities and other stakeholders working on Cohesion Policy investments for sustainability transitions. Participants will explore solutions in areas such as biodiversity, climate adaptation and energy efficiency, discover concrete project examples, exchange with peers, and get the latest updates on EU policy.   • European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW)
    Date: 9-11 June 2026; Location: Brussels, Belgium and online.

  • The New European Bauhaus Festival
    Date: 9-13 June 2026; Location: Brussels, Belgium.
    This edition focuses on democratic engagement and affordable housing as key pillars of resilient and inclusive societies. Over five days, it will be a space to exchange ideas, explore innovation and reimagine how we live and design our cities. Register here!
  • Driving Urban Transitions (DUT) Conference
    Date: 10 June 2026; Location: Brussels, Belgium & Online
    The conference aims to engage in dialogues on how to future-proof cities and to expand your network. It will showcase key achievements, lessons learned and scalable solutions from DUT-funded projects in urban mobility, energy and circularity, alongside its strategic vision towards 2033. The in-person registrations are completed, but you can still register for online participation and get access to the live streamed sessions.
  • Rights of Nature by Tribal and First Nations learning session (Co-creation with the More-than-Human sandbox)
    Date: 10 June 2026; Location: Online
    Join us for our 14th learning session on Wednesday, June 10 at 6 pm CEST | 5 pm BST | 12 pm EDT | 9 am PDT | 9:30 pm IST: What if the Rights of Nature were not a legal innovation, but the oldest law there is? In this session, we explore what happens when that ancient understanding meets the modern legal system and how Tribal Rights of Nature differ from standard Rights of Nature approaches.   • European Urban Resilience Form (EURESFO)
    Date: 17-19 June 2026; Location: Guimarães, Portugal
    The 13th European Urban Resilience Forum will be held on 17-19 June 2026 in Guimarães, Portugal. City representatives, experts, and stakeholders from local and regional institutions will convene in the city denominated as European Green Capital for 2026 with the shared goal of advancing strategies, initiatives, and actions on climate change adaptation, disaster risk management, and the strengthening of urban resilience. The focus of the 2026 edition will be on exploring integrated approaches to climate resilience that move beyond adaptation. Register here.
  • London Climate Action Week
    Date: 20-28 June 2026; Location: London, United Kingdom
    This event harnesses the unique power of London to drive both global and local climate action, bringing together its exceptional network of climate and non-climate organisations to accelerate impact across sectors. It creates a space to strengthen collaboration, share practical solutions, and support action in London that reinforces the city’s role as a global climate leader. Registrations will open shortly.   • Hamburg Sustainability Conference
    Date: 29-30 June 2026; Location: Hamburg, Germany
    This conference provides a space for critical reflection on topics such as the governance of international organizations and entrepreneurial approaches to sustainable development, fostering dialogue across disciplines and perspectives.

  • Soils for Europe Conference
    Date: 7-11 September 2026; Location: Coimbra, Portugal
    The Soils for Europe conference, co-organised by multiple Mission Soil projects, will highlight panels on the Mission Objectives, including cross-cutting sessions aiming to showcase the latest research being developed across Europe.While the event will allow for the showcasing of innovations being produced by various European-funded projects, the conference will be open to  all researchers and practitioners in an effort to bring together the best and most innovative initiatives in the European space, including a day dedicated to the Living Labs initiatives
  • CARDIMED Conference 2026
    Date: 21-22 September 2026; Location: Utrecht, Netherlands
    Organised by CARDIMED project in collaboration with Utrecht University and its Pathways to Sustainability programme, the conference will bring together researchers, practitioners, planners, policy makers and artists to explore how urban rivers can be renatured and regenerated to foster climate resilience, biodiversity recovery and social connection. The programme will combine plenary sessions with interactive seed sessions, designed to stimulate emerging ideas and collaborations.   • European Week of Regions and Cities
    Date: 12-14 October  2026; Location: Brussels, Belgium
    The European Week of Regions and Cities is the largest annual event held in Brussels dedicated to regional and urban policy. It provides cities and regions with a platform to demonstrate their role in fostering growth and employment, implementing EU Cohesion Policy, and highlighting the importance of the local and regional level in effective European governance.
  • Brussels Climate Week Conference
    Date: 12-15 October  2026; Location: Brussels, Belgium
    The Brussels Climate Week Conference is the central forum of the Week, bringing together European institutions, Member States, industry, cities, investors, and innovators to shape the future of Europe’s climate-industrial transition. Over five themed days, the Conference will explore how Europe can advance resilience, competitiveness, and sustainability through high-level dialogues, curated roundtables, and cross-sector networking that turn ambition into action.   • CBD COP 17 
    Date: 19-30 October  2026; Location: Yerevan, Armenia
    The 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP17) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) is a major global summit where governments, experts, Indigenous Peoples, civil society, and other stakeholders come together to review progress and define new commitments on the protection and restoration of biodiversity.

  • NbS International Congress 
    Date: 2-6 November 2026; Location: Paris, France
    The NbS  International Congress will bring together more than 500 researchers, practitioners, city and region representatives, national and EU authorities, policy-makers, local and international organisations, investors, businesses, and civil society from the NbS community.  Through different thematic tracks —from science to policy and practice, and across diverse ecosystems and topics— the congress will offer a week of exchange across science, practice and policy, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing within the international network.  
    • Scientific Conference: Organised by PERP SOLU-BIOD, the Scientific Conference will take place on  4, 5 and 6 November 2026 at Sorbonne University. A registration fee will be required. The call for sessions is now open!  
    • NetworkNature Week: Running from 2 to 4 November 2026, the NetworkNature Week will feature a series of events designed to inspire and build the capacity of the NbS community and beyond to continue taking action for nature. Registrations will open soon! Key events not to miss:

    Date: 3-5 November 2026; Location: Barcelona, Spain
    Held annually in Barcelona since 2011, the Smart City Expo World Congress is the world’s largest and most influential event dedicated to cities and urban innovation. It brings together leaders from global companies, governments, and organisations to explore how cities can evolve towards more sustainable, efficient, and inclusive futures.
