The NetworkNature Task Force 4 (Communicators) is pleased to provide you with a summary of upcoming events and opportunities announced by Horizon 2020/Europe projects and select Missions. This Task Force is responsible for synergising and enhancing communication approaches and messages across Nature-based Solutions (NbS) projects. Project Updates

  • NetworkNature, SOLU-BIOD, Biodiversa+, and UNP+ announce the 2026 Nature-based Solutions International Congress, taking place in Paris, France Nov. 3-6. NetworkNature, the City of Paris, and UNP+ will partner to bring you a Cities Festival full of peer2peer learning. 
  • Pathways2Resilience announces that 62 Regions Unite to Develop Climate Adaptation Plans for 55 Million Europeans. Read the full press release

  • NATURANCE festival (final event)
    Date: February 3 2026; Location: Brussels, Belgium
    The final event convenes policymakers, researchers, financial institutions, and practitioners to explore insurance and investment opportunities for nature-based transformation. Emerging approaches to mobilizing capital and managing risk through nature-positive strategies will be showcased. Participants will draw on lessons learned, identify synergies, and outline practical pathways to scale implementation. Register here!
  • Water Europe Webinar
    Date: February 5 2026, Location: Online
    The Water Europe’s Expert Group ‘Water & Biodiversity’ will show how biodiversity monitoring in urban (storm)water management can be done in practice. They show standards and real life examples of proven biodiversity increase through NBS solutions in urban environments. Register here!

  • UPSURGE Final Conference – Guiding Cities to Deliver Regenerative Urban Transformation
    Date: February 10 2026, Location: Katowice & online.
    UPSURGE Final Conference - Guiding Cities to Deliver Regenerative Urban Transformation, showcases the innovations, tools, best practices, and lessons learned to accelerate regenerative urban transformation across European cities. It brings together policymakers, urban practitioners, researchers, and city leaders to reflect on UPSURGE’s results and discuss how they can support the next generation of nature-based, climate-positive and socially-relevant urban solutions.
  • Turning Nature-based Solutions Into Impact
    Date: February 17 2026; Location: Online
    TF3 will share their learnings at this online panel. A dedicated panel discussion will highlight best practices and lessons learned from multiple cities across Europe, followed by insights into market and business perspectives, including investment considerations and pathways for exploitation.

  • Understanding and Applying the Urban Nature Plans+ Framework
    Date: 25 February 2026; Location: online

    The European Ocean Days is a week-long event with a series of dynamic and interconnected sessions focused on key ocean-related themes, all designed to encourage participants to engage across topics and contribute to a shared vision for the prosperity, competitiveness, security and sustainability of our ocean. 
  • International Civil Society Forum on Nature Finance 
    Date: March 18-19 2026; Location: Belfast, United Kingdom
    Hosted by the BIOFIN-EU project, and supported by UKRI NERC, this event aims to highlight and discuss the concerns of civil society with the current mechanisms, strategies and implications for financing nature restoration. The first day will focus on civil society contributions, while the second on policy perspectives. Register here to join the conversation!
  • Urban Future 2026
    Date: March 24-27; Location: Ljubljana, Slovenia
    NetworkNature is joining a number of Horizon Europe projects at this year’s Urban Future conference! Join us for a session on Arts and Communication, and a session on Finance and Resilience. More details to come soon!

  • European Urban Resilience Form (EURESFO)
    Date: June 17-19 2026; Guimarães, Portugal
    The 13th European Urban Resilience Forum will be held on 17-19 June 2026 in Guimarães, Portugal. City representatives, experts, and stakeholders from local and regional institutions will convene in the city denominated as European Green Capital for 2026 with the shared goal of advancing strategies, initiatives, and actions on climate change adaptation, disaster risk management, and the strengthening of urban resilience. The focus of the 2026 edition will be on exploring integrated approaches to climate resilience that move beyond adaptation.
