The Scottish Nature-based Solutions Hub is a Scotland-wide knowledge-sharing and capacity-building community. It brings together public bodies, infrastructure providers, land managers, researchers, practitioners and communities to improve the design and delivery of high-quality Nature-based Solutions.
The Hub shares Scottish practice, runs Lunch & Learn sessions, connects people to standards and delivery resources, and supports peer learning across planning, implementation, governance, monitoring and evaluation.

Be Scotland’s entry point for NbS: clear definitions, examples, and routes to support.
Shared language & quality: align with IUCN Global Standard (+ relevant EU classifications).
Knowledge exchange: Lunch & Learns, webinars, workshops; recordings + slides where possible.
Case studies + resource hub: tagged, searchable, honest “lessons learned” + tools/visuals.
Grow the community: mailing list sign-up, calls for speakers, links to sister hubs; build future capacity via universities.

Local and national government: Local authorities; Scottish Government policy, analysis, adaptation, flooding and resilience teams; COSLA and Heads of Planning networks.
Statutory agencies: NatureScot, SEPA, Forestry and Land Scotland and other public bodies.
Infrastructure and utilities: Scottish Water, energy and network operators, transport bodies, rail and other infrastructure owners and delivery partners.
Land, forestry and rural sectors: Land managers, estates, forestry, catchment partnerships, rural enterprises and protected-landscape bodies.
Built environment: Planners, landscape architects, architects, engineers, developers, consultants and design organisations.
