Climate Change Adaptation, Mitigation and Resilience
Scaling climate change adaptation, mitigation and resilience actions are central to addressing the interlinked climate and nature crisis. Nature-based Solutions (NbS) provide multifunctional, cost-effective strategies that can reduce climate impacts, restore nature, and contribute to a nature positive economy.
NetworkNature’s ‘Climate Change Adaptation, Mitigation and Resilience’ theme aims to empower diverse stakeholders to scale NbS for effective climate action. NbS help manage risks such as heatwaves, floods, and wildfires, while preserving or restoring the natural systems we rely on and strengthening our communities by enhancing their resilience and capacity to adapt to change.
Drawing on knowledge from a broad portfolio of EU-funded projects – such as NATURE-DEMO, Invest4Nature, and GoNaturePositive! - this theme offers practical resources, case studies, and tools to support the effective integration of NbS into climate adaptation and mitigation strategies, and build the resilience of communities and economies.
