The session will combine hands-on regional experiences with methodological perspectives from technical and academic partners, focusing on:

  • Private land and regional governance contexts
  • Mediterranean climate adaptation
  • Atlantic resilience planning

Together, we will explore questions such as:

  • Where do good Nature-based Solutions ideas most often struggle?
  • What makes an NbS methodology truly usable for practitioners and local authorities?
  • What is currently underestimated when identifying and implementing NbS across different regional contexts?

The session will feature contributions from:

  • Janine Freyer, RWTH Aachen
  • Katherina Schüssler, Das Land Steiermark
  • José Barquín Ortiz, Universidad de Cantabria
  • Liesa Brosens, VITO
  • Tadej Stepisnik Perdih, NTUA
