TF4 Digest: January 2026

The NetworkNature Task Force 4 (Communicators) is pleased to provide you with a summary of upcoming events and opportunities announced by Horizon 2020/Europe projects and select Missions. This Task Force is responsible for synergising and enhancing communication approaches and messages across Nature-based Solutions (NbS) projects.   • NetworkNature, SOLU-BIOD, and UNP+ announce the 2026 Nature-based Solutions week, taking place in Paris, France Nov.3-6. NetworkNature, the City of Paris, and UNP+ will partner to bring you a Cities Day full of peer2peer learning.

  • NBRACER x UrbanbyNature Webinar #1
    Date: January 27 2026 16:00-17:00 CET; Location: online
    The first NBRACER UrbanByNature webinar “Breaking Silos: Learning and sharing for cross municipal and departmental collaboration towards NbS” will address regions that have worked towards placing NbS front and centre across departments and municipalities. Register here until 20 January 2026.

February 2026

  • NATURANCE festival (final event)
    Date: February 3 2026; Location: Brussels, Belgium
    The final event convenes policymakers, researchers, financial institutions, and practitioners to explore insurance and investment opportunities for nature-based transformation. Emerging approaches to mobilizing capital and managing risk through nature-positive strategies will be showcased. Participants will draw on lessons learned, identify synergies, and outline practical pathways to scale implementation. Register here!
  • JUSTNature Final Conference
    Date: February 10 2026; Location: Brussels, Belgium
    Join us for a collection of talks, interactive workshops, and discussions based on real-world experiences of delivering nature-based solutions.
  • Ocean Sciences Meeting
    Date: February 22-27 2026; Location: Glasgow, Scotland
    The flagship conference for ocean sciences and the broader ocean-connected community, offering a unique opportunity to explore the latest discoveries across diverse fields, from marine ecosystem dynamics to the impacts of climate change. Register here!

  • European Ocean Days
    Date: March 2-6 2026; Location: Brussels, Belgium
    The European Ocean Days is a week-long event with a series of dynamic and interconnected sessions focused on key ocean-related themes, all designed to encourage participants to engage across topics and contribute to a shared vision for the prosperity, competitiveness, security and sustainability of our ocean. Registrations open in December. 
  • International Civil Society Forum on Nature Finance 
    Date: March 18-19 2026; Location: Belfast, United Kingdom
    Hosted by the BIOFIN-EU project, and supported by UKRI NERC, this event aims to highlight and discuss the concerns of civil society with the current mechanisms, strategies and implications for financing nature restoration. The first day will focus on civil society contributions, while the second on policy perspectives. Register here to join the conversation!
