Postcard NN Bootcamp Bari

The bootcamp forms part of NetworkNature’s European capacity-building strategy, supported by the European Commission, and builds on the momentum generated through a previous edition in Milan. The programme is designed to help bridge the persistent gap between policy ambition and the preparation and delivery of investable regenerative and nature-positive projects.

The bootcamp brings together local and regional governments, infrastructure operators, investors, researchers, practitioners, and private-sector actors to explore how we can collectively accelerate regenerative and nature-positive investments in territories.

The Bari edition is convened by NetworkNature and ALTAMIRA Regenerative finance and hosted and supported by the NbS Italy Hub, CNR-IRET (Italian National Research Council), the University of Bari Aldo Moro, the IUCN European NbS Hub, and the American Institute of Architects (AIA).

Focusing on the challenges and opportunities facing Apulia and Southern Italy, the programme will explore how Nature-based Solutions and regenerative infrastructure can address climate vulnerability, water scarcity, coastal resilience, biodiversity loss, agricultural transition, and regional development. Particular emphasis will be placed on building the institutional, financial, and partnership capacities needed to develop investable projects and accelerate the transition toward a regenerative, nature-positive regional economy.

In particular, we aim to involve representatives from local municipalities, ideally from the Apulia region or nearby areas, for logistical reasons.

Within the public sector, we are especially interested in welcoming:

  • directors and officers responsible for urban planning or green infrastructure
  • local politicians (e.g. assessors)
  • professionals involved in the financial management of municipal funds

If you are an investment and/or urban planner in Apulia or a public servant with the profiles mentioned above, wel encourage you to apply to the bootcamp via the link.
