In this session, participants will explore why inclusive engagement is essential for effective and just climate adaptation. The session will highlight the risks of non-inclusive approaches and the importance of meaningfully involving vulnerable and marginalised groups throughout the adaptation process.
Combining a justice perspective with practical tools, the webinar will introduce key methods for inclusive engagement and facilitate an interactive co-creation exercise. Participants will exchange concrete practices that can be applied across different stages of the adaptation process, from identifying risks to designing and implementing solutions.
The session focuses on how regions and cities can “leave no one behind” by strengthening participation and addressing inequalities in access to resources, information and decision-making. Participants will leave with practical ideas and transferable approaches to apply in their own context.
