The Nature-based Solutions International Congress 2026 will take place on 3–6 November 2026 in Paris, bringing together the international community working on Nature-based Solutions (NbS). Researchers, policymakers, practitioners, city representatives, businesses, investors and civil society organisations will gather to exchange knowledge and strengthen collaboration around NbS research and implementation.

A central component of the Congress will be its Scientific Conference, designed to highlight new research and stimulate dialogue across disciplines and sectors. The event is supported by NetworkNature EU, Nature-based Solutions - French research program, UNPplus EU, Biodiversa+ and Sorbonne Université.

To shape the programme of the Scientific Conference, organisers are inviting the global NbS community to submit proposals for thematic sessions.

📅 Deadline for submissions: 30 March 2026

Proposed sessions should explore key questions related to Nature-based Solutions across ecosystems, sectors and scales. Contributions may focus on conceptual advances, methods, empirical research or practical experience. Interdisciplinary approaches and proposals that connect different communities or regions are particularly encouraged.

Sessions will last two hours and may take the form of research symposia, scientific workshops, or other interactive formats that foster exchange and collaboration. Organisers may request up to three sessions depending on the scope of the topic.

Session proposals will be reviewed by an international scientific council based on scientific quality, originality, diversity of perspectives and their potential to engage a broad audience.
