Project Objectives
- Boost coordination on climate adaptation, while helping national and local governments to share solutions and strengthen their approaches to managing climate risks
- Support the European Green Deal, the EU Adaptation Strategy, and the EU Climate Law, and align with other projects and initiatives under the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change, which aim to make European communities more resilient, safer, and better prepared for the future.
Methods
- Establish and implement at least 27 National Multilevel Governance Adaptation Hubs (by developing new structures or supporting existing ones)
- Implement a robust grouping and twinning scheme (which will facilitate national, cross-border and EU-wide exchanges and cooperations - Involve associate countries and countries beyond the EU through a dedicated outreach programme
