  • Naturance Project: Webstival on Advancing Finance Innovations for Nature-based Solutions
    Date: 11-13 February 2025; Location: Online
    The NATURANCE consortium invites participation in the upcoming virtual innovation webstival, focusing on nature-based insurance and investment instruments for ecosystem restoration as part of climate adaptation and disaster risk reduction. This fully online event combines different forms of engagement including keynote talks, technical panels, workshops, break-out discussions, and policy dialogues.   • SpongeScapes webinar “Introduction to sponge measures”
    Date: 13th of February 2025 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm CET; Location: Online

  • NetworkNature Science-Policy Event
    Date: 27 February; Location: Brussels
    ICLEI Europe and IEEP are organising an in person invite only science-policy event on urban/regional transformation with a special focus on water resilience.     Date: 3- 7 March 2025; Location: Brussels
    A week of events related to European marine and maritime topics, it will cover, on separate days over the week, the EU Mission Ocean and Waters, fisheries science, blue innovation and investment opportunities and ocean literacy activities. This year’s edition contains a focus on youth voices. Register!
  • When Nature can do the job
    Date: 19 March 2025; Location: Brussels
    By bringing together leading European experts from the research and policy sectors, this free event will consider where and when nature could help create ecosystems that support biodiversity, store carbon and enhance livelihoods which will enable both nature and people to better cope with the growing impacts of modern climate change.   • CITYCOP2 Forum
    Date: 20-22 March 2025; Location: Kaohsiung, Taiwan 
    Kaohsiung City and ICLEI KCC will co-host a CITYCOP2 Forum in tandem with the Kaohsiung Smart Expo next March (20-22) with a high-level session themed Biodiversity and Urban Nature. They are coordinating with the city and tapping potential opportunities to invite Pact-related cities/experts to engage in the session.
  • NBS Education Summit 2025
    Date: 27 March 2025; Location: Online
    The high-level Nature-Based Solutions Education Summit aims to bridge science, policy, and practice by presenting key findings from NBS EduWORLD and other NBS education projects to the public, EU policymakers, and Ministries of Education. Its focus is on supporting nature-based solutions (NBS) education through policy, with a special emphasis on just transitions. The event will include a policy learning session, showcasing best practices and testing recommendations with policymakers. Register now.

  • Cities Mission Conference 2025
    Date: 6-8 May 2025; Loation: Vilnius, Lithuania
    The EU Green Capital 2025 will welcome invitation-only attendees to the event. Organised by the European Commission and the Mission Platform, the conference will bring together political representatives and practitioners from the 112 Mission Cities to celebrate the Mission’s considerable progress after three years. Stay tuned!
  • Deltas & Wetlands 2025 International Symposium
    Date: 12-16 May 2025; Location: Tulcea, Romania
    The 32nd edition of the Deltas and Wetlands International Symposium will be organised by DDNI, the National Research and Development Institute Delta. Main thematics include biodiversity and nature conservation; ecological restoration; Mission Ocean; system modeling. Deadline for registration and submission is April 18th.

  • 7th EUROPEAN CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTATION CONFERENCE
    Dates: June, 16-18, 2025; Location: Rimini, Italy
    This conference will serve as a vibrant platform for showcasing cutting-edge research and innovative solutions, sharing knowledge and best practices and fostering collaboration towards a climate-resilient society. The deadline for submissions is February 3, 2025.
  • EUROSOIL 2025
    Date: September 8-12; Location: Seville, Spain
    The EUROSOIL is the official meeting of the European Confederation of Soil Science Societies. Abstract submissions due May 15th 2025 (Regular submissions); July 15th 2025 (Last minute, only posters). An exposition for products and services related to soil sciences is being organized. Early Bird conference registration closes March 31. 2025. 
  • IUCN World Conservation Congress
    Date: 9-15 October 2025; Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates and Online
    The IUCN Congress 2025 Programme will feature a range of exciting and impactful sessions selected through the Call for Proposals. Podcasts, capacity building, and art can all find a place on the agenda. Submissions due February 14, 2025.
