The European Commission has launched a public consultation on the past, present and future of the EU R&I framework programmes.
The public consultation asks participants to:
- Identify achievements and shortcomings of the previous EU research and innovation programme Horizon 2020, its relevance and the procedures associated with the application process and funding management;
- Express views on Horizon Europe’s design and implementation up until now;
- Identify future priorities for Horizon Europe’s Strategic Plan 2025-2027, providing inputs on emerging research and innovation needs, on synergies across EU programmes, etc.
Participants can choose to reply to one, two or all three parts of the questionnaire.
The consultation responses will contribute to Horizon 2020’s final evaluation, Horizon Europe’s interim evaluation and lay the groundwork for the preparations of the Horizon Europe Strategic Plan 2025-2027.
The consultation is open to all relevant stakeholders including academic and research institutions, businesses, NGOs, trade unions, public authorities and citizens. Questions are accessible in English, German and French and respondents can respond in any EU language.
The consultation is open until 23 February 2023.
