Unlocking EU-wide uptake of Nature-based Solutions on private land

This brief provides key recommendations to unlock barriers to NbS deployment on private land. Namely, the need for greater policy coherence and integration of NbS into economic tools, the need to make NbS more economically viable, and the removal of legal uncertainties at the EU and national levels. Ultimately, the brief shows that neglecting communication with landowners and making top-down decisions can undermine interest in implementing NbS.
