This Handbook was made for government officials, practitioners or project coordinators working in the public domain and needing support in their NbS project implementation. It will be useful especially for those who are at the early stages of developing climate adaptation and mitigation policies in which they are dealingwith uncertainties concerning the budget, knowledge, capacity.
The handbook is divided in three sections : case studies, tools and social acceptance.

Filling the gap between ideas creation and planning, the NbS Projects Implementation Handbook offers readers both decision-making and process support for their NbS project implementation.
Case studies are presented from the Nature4Cities Implementation Model Database, which provide inspiration for NbS project implementation. Governance approaches (government-led, cocreation or private sphere initiatives) are described and cover a broad variety of areas and approaches to inspire readers with practical examples.
The following suitable tools for the early stages of the planning and implementation processes developed within Nature4Cities are also presented, to create a link between
