The World Economic Forum’s latest risk report says biodiversity is the second biggest global threat to businesses over the next ten years. How can the financial sector address this?
Biodiversa+ is hosting a webinar to look at how to better connect finance, R&I and biodiversity goals both in Europe and around the world. Building on the IPBES Business & Biodiversity Assessment and the Biodiversa+ Business & Biodiversity Toolkit, the webinar will look at how biodiversity data and methods are put into practice in finance, research, and innovation, and what that means for decision-making. The discussion will also look into how the financial sector can help steer investments so they match up with European and global goals on biodiversity.
The webinar will include a presentation from Emine Isciel, Head of Climate and Environment at Storebrand Asset Management, from the Storebrand Group, where they’ll talk about how they’re handling this challenge. Storebrand Group is a leading player in the Nordic market for long-term savings and insurance and manages more than 1000 billion NOK making Storebrand the largest asset manager in Norway.
