In November last year, the NetworkNature EU project was proudly represented at the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) Annual Conference in Aalborg, Denmark. This marked a significant step toward bridging NetworkNature’s work on nature-based solutions with the EEN’s vast outreach to SMEs across Europe.
For the first time, nature and nature-based solutions featured on the EEN agenda. During a dedicated session led under NetworkNature EU, speakers highlighted the crucial role SMEs play in addressing nature loss and showcased real-world examples of nature-based enterprises already scaling impact.
EEN advisors acting as trusted multipliers for thousands of SMEs enthusiastically validated the need for practical case studies, tools and awareness raising to support SMEs in moving toward nature-positive business models. Their strong engagement, together with DG GROW’s support, confirmed the conference as an important starting point for closer collaboration between the EEN and NetworkNature EU communities.
This momentum now fuels ongoing collaborative efforts to deliver guidance, resources and opportunities that help SMEs adopt and scale Nature-based Solutions across Europe.
