French NbS Hub

The French NbS Hub is a collaborative, bottom-up initiative that brings together a wide diversity of actors from across France — including overseas territories — to co-create, implement, and scale up Nature-based Solutions (NbS). It is important to note that the French NbS Hub is not limited to national borders. It is closely connected to French-speaking NbS communities around the world, creating a unique bridge between local realities and the global NbS movement. Barely three weeks after its creation late 2024, the French NbS Hub brought together more than 100 members, reflecting strong enthusiasm and commitment from diverse actors across France and its overseas territories.

Deeply rooted in existing networks as well as local and regional groups, the Hub grows from the bottom up. It is shaped by those working on the ground — NGOs, the private sector, academic institutions, and decision-makers — who collaborate to produce knowledge, kwon-how, and deploy resilient and sustainable solutions for people and nature.

While anchored in the French context, the Hub actively contributes to the European NbS community through its engagement with NetworkNature and other EU-wide initiatives. This ensures that French local experiences enrich European strategies, while European knowledge, tools, and opportunities reach French and French-speaking local communities.

The French NBS Hub is open to the entire international and French-speaking community. The language of communication is French. Membership is free.
