PRESS RELEASE
BIOFIN-EU to Showcase Nature-Positive Finance Solutions at TITAN x Data4Food2030 Conference in Brussels
June 8, 2026
The BIOFIN-EU project will participate in the upcoming TITAN x Data4Food2030 Conference, taking place on 17–18 June 2026 in Brussels, Belgium. The event will bring together experts from research, industry, policy, and innovation to discuss digital solutions and data-driven approaches for more sustainable food systems.
BIOFIN-EU will have a strong presence at the event, with a dedicated booth and a featured presentation in the "Building Sustainable and Traceable Supply Chains" programme track. Louis Powell and Felipe Arruda Pontes from Maastricht University will present "A Continental Framework for Biodiversity Risk Assessment in Europe Under Climate and Land-Use Change: Supporting Nature-Positive Decisions Through BIOFIN-EU", showcasing the project's scientific approach to embedding biodiversity risk into financial and land-use decision-making at scale.
At the BIOFIN-EU booth, project representatives will engage agrifood, finance, and policy stakeholders in hands-on discussions about biodiversity finance tools, ecosystem services data, and concrete pathways to scaling nature-positive investments. It's a prime opportunity to explore partnerships and see BIOFIN-EU's methodologies in action developed to support nature-positive investment decisions.

About BIOFIN-EU
BIOFIN-EU is a Horizon Europe-funded project focused on redirecting financial resources towards biodiversity recovery and protection by developing a unified framework that categorises Nature-based Solutions (NbS), streamlines investment processes, and integrates data analytics and underwriting tools. The project’s outcomes will identify taxonomy gaps and provide evidence-based policy recommendations for the European financial services sector, supporting the EU’s biodiversity goals.
A central output of the project, the NbS Dashboard provides a structured framework for categorising Nature-based Solutions, supporting good governance practices, and identifying suitable financial instruments and business models. The dashboard is co-designed, tested, and validated through the BIOFIN-EU Learning Sites, real-world demonstration locations that actively engage diverse stakeholders across Europe and beyond.
