Cities and regions across Europe are increasingly turning to nature-based solutions to tackle heat, air pollution and climate vulnerability. The Urban ReLeaf Accelerator Programme offers a practical opportunity to move from ambition to implementation, supported by peers and experts working at the forefront of urban resilience.

Through this open Expression of Interest, cities and regions can join a growing European community focused on integrating data, digital tools and nature-based solutions into urban planning. Participants will enter the programme as accelerators, gaining access to four online information sessions in spring 2026. These webinars will showcase Urban ReLeaf tools, methodologies and lessons learned, providing insights into urban heat mapping, vulnerability assessment and nature-based climate adaptation strategies.

Following these sessions, a selected group of cities and regions will advance as frontrunners. Frontrunners will receive deeper, hands-on support through one in-person workshop, planned back-to-back with the European Urban Resilience Forum (EURESFO), and three additional online workshops in autumn. This level is designed for municipalities ready to test, adapt and embed Urban ReLeaf outputs into local policies and planning processes.

Whether your city is beginning its journey or looking to strengthen existing strategies, the Accelerator Programme offers peer learning, expert guidance and visibility within a European network committed to climate resilience.

Cities and regions interested in shaping the future of nature-based urban transformation are invited to submit their Expression of Interest and join the programme.
