The Advancing Impact Measurement of Nature-based Solutions (AIM-NBS) Online Surveyaims to understand what works, what doesn't, and where challenges arise in the impact evaluation of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) projects.
Despite substantial investment in NbS across Europe, impact evaluation remains fragmented and inconsistently applied across projects. The AIM-NBS project investigates real-world bottlenecks, challenges, and enabling factors in NbS impact evaluation across EU-funded projects.
We welcome responses from team members involved in NbS impact evaluation, like project coordinators, impact evaluators, data managers, and others. Responses from both ongoing and completed projects are welcome— impact evaluation does not need to be completed, and preliminary or partial results are equally valuable for our research.
Your insights will help shape best practices for future impact evaluation efforts across EU NbS projects and inform policy recommendations. The AIM-NBS project supports the NetworkNature NbS Task Force 2, a Horizon Europe project clustering activity.
The questionnaire takes 15–20 minutes per project to complete and focuses on your real-world experience with impact evaluation. If you are involved in multiple NbS projects, please fill out a separate form for each.
At the end of the survey, you may choose to be acknowledged along with your name and/or the name of your NbS project in AIM-NBS publications. This acknowledgement is separate from your survey responses, which are analysed only in aggregate.
We expect to share key findings with participating projects by early summer 2026.
OPEN UNTIL 04.03.26
This project is funded through the EU-funded NetworkNature project. It is being implemented by the Sustainability Research Institute at the University of East London, in collaboration with TH-OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
