The BioAgora project is inviting experts to contribute to the development of the EU’s Long-term Strategic Research Agenda for Biodiversity under Horizon Europe.
This process responds to a request from the European Commission (via DG RTD and the Knowledge Centre for Biodiversity) to identify and prioritise key biodiversity knowledge gaps. Selected experts will contribute to an Independent Expert Report, helping shape future research and innovation priorities to halt and reverse biodiversity loss.
For the Nature-based Solutions community, this represents an important opportunity to ensure that NbS-related knowledge gaps and research needs are reflected in this agenda-setting process.
We therefore encourage researchers and experts working on:
- research prioritisation methods
- consultation and participatory approaches
- biodiversity knowledge gaps, including NbS
to consider applying and bringing NbS perspectives into the process.
Deadline to apply: 26 April 2026
By engaging, NbS experts can help ensure that the insights from the NbS Research & Innovation Roadmap and ongoing work on knowledge gaps are considered in shaping the future EU biodiversity research agenda. In case of further questions, please write to networks@bioagora.eu.
