The second edition of the "NBS EduCommunity Workshop: Shaping the future of sustainability learning" will take place online on 7 May 2024, from 14:00 to 16:00 PM CEST. This dynamic event is a public gathering of the European NBS EduWORLD community.
Organised by the Horizon Europe project NBS EduWORLD in collaboration with the NetworkNature Cluster Task Force NBS Education, this workshop marks the continuation of our commitment to advancing Nature-based Solutions (NbS) education. Building upon the insights from our inaugural workshop held on 28 November 2023, this event promises to be an enriching experience.
We are honoured to host policymakers, education experts, and NbS practitioners from across Europe, all converging to discuss and define the future of NbS education. Our goal is to evaluate the current landscape of NbS education in Europe and chart a course for its further development across all educational levels, from early education to professional training.
The workshop will start with a keynote address delivered by an esteemed external speaker (stay tuned for the announcement!). Following this, a representative from CEUS, championing the NBS EduSystem in Belgrade, Serbia, will share insights and inspiration drawn from their extensive NbS educational endeavours, shedding light on the challenges and needs they encountered in fostering NbS education.
Participants will then engage in smaller group discussions to delve deeper into the challenges and needs surrounding NbS education development. The outcomes of these discussions will not only shape the upcoming NBS Education Summit in autumn 2024 but will also inform the work of NBS EduWORLD and the Task Force NbS Education, leading to tangible advancements in NbS education.
