Nature4Cities was a Horizon 2020 EU-funded Research & Innovation project running from November 2016 – April 2021.
Nature4Cities created a comprehensive reference Platform for Nature Based Solutions (NBS), offering technical solutions, methods and tools to empower urban planning decision making. This helped to address contemporary environmental, social and economic challenges faced by European Cities.
BiodiverCities is a project in the context of the EU Biodiversity Strategy. It aims to enhance civil society participation in local and urban decision-making, leading to building a joint vision of the green city of tomorrow shared among civil society, scientists and policymakers. The project will collect practical examples of how to engage citizens in vision building around urban nature, monitoring, and solutions to improve urban biodiversity.
OPERAs is a European research project that is helping to put cutting edge ecosystem science into practice. Composed of scientists, researchers and practioners from 27 different organisations the project seeks to help stakeholders to apply the ecosystem services and natural capital concept into practice.
EnRoute stands for Enhancing Resilience of urban ecosystems through green infrastructure. EnRoute is a project of the European Commission in the framework of the EU Biodiversity Strategy and the Green Infrastructure Strategy. EnRoute provides scientific knowledge of how urban ecosystems can support urban planning at different stages of policy and for various spatial scales and how to help policy-making for sustainable cities.
